Working with landowners, organizations and government, Maine's Soil and Water Conservation Districts have helped to protect our soil, water, forestry, wildlife and other natural resources for over 60 years. |
![]() The Union Sportsmen's Alliance (USA) is a hunter/angler based conservation organization exclusively for Union members, retirees and their families with a mission to unite the Union community to expand and improve hunting and fishing access and wildlife habitat throughout North America. One way the USA is working toward that goal is through its Boots on the Ground (BOTG) program, which connects trained and highly skilled Union member volunteers with conservation projects in critical need of manpower. One such project will support the Memorial Forest and the program being developed in Maine by American Greenlands and Pine Grove Lodge to provide outdoor experiences for disabled first responders, veterans and Union members. BOTG volunteers will help build roads and a bridge among other projects. |
